Dean Oak Cooperative - Charcoal

We use a retort to make our charcoal ensuring that all of the harmful pollutants associated with traditional charcoal making are converted into less harmful gasses.  We use local labour and locally harvested hard woods to produce the charcoal close to where the timber is grown.

Because our charcoal is produced from local hardwoods, it has a high carbon content which means it lights easily and burns at a good high temperature.  This will produce tasty food with all the natural goodness that fresh foods contain preserved for you to enjoy.

It also doesn't travel very far and we use a n efficient method of production meaning that we sell our charcoal at a sensible price.
